Webinar: Using Drones to Combat Swine Fever

Webinar Announcement: "Drones in the Fight Against African Swine Fever – Opportunities, Practical Applications, and Challenges"

African swine fever (ASF) poses major challenges for government agencies, hunters, and the agricultural sector. In particular, searching for fallen game and monitoring affected areas are often time-consuming and resource-intensive tasks.

Drones can provide valuable support in this area: They enable rapid aerial reconnaissance, provide up-to-date information, and help plan and carry out operations more efficiently.

But what does their practical use look like in concrete terms? What advantages do drones offer in the fight against ASP? And what legal, technical, and organizational requirements must be taken into account?
We’ll be addressing these questions in our next DRONIQlive. Together with our guests, we’ll be exploring topics such as:
  • Current Challenges in Combating African Swine Fever and the Role of Drones in Searching for Dead Game and Conducting Reconnaissance
  • Practical experience, success factors, and specific application scenarios from everyday police work
  • Key legal, technical, and organizational aspects for planning and conducting drone operations in the ASP context

Our host, Phil Stephan, welcomes his guests Caroline Brandis (Senior Sales Manager at Droniq) and Markus Surwehme (game warden at the Wittgenstein-Berleburg Rentkammer), who shares insights from his practical experience.

We look forward to seeing you there!
