Altena fire department

With professional training and modern drone technology, the Altena fire department is strengthening its operational capability.

In an emergency, every second counts - and every perspective. The Altena fire department relies on drone technology to be able to react more quickly to fires, searches for missing persons or large-scale situations and provide sound situational awareness. But technology alone is not enough - it needs trained pilots, clear processes and secure integration into the airspace.

The goal

The Altena fire department would like to strategically integrate drones into its operational structure. The aim is to be able to make faster and safer decisions with the help of aerial reconnaissance - whether in an emergency or to assess the situation in the event of large-scale damage.

The implementation

Firefighters from Altena received comprehensive training in several training blocks: from the A2 remote pilot certificate to practical instruction in operational scenarios. In addition to theory and basic legal knowledge, the program included practical exercises with various types of drones - tailored to typical BOS situations.

Our contribution

Droniq not only trained the firefighters, but also designed practical scenarios and presented several DJI drone models. This allowed real-life situations to be simulated, technology to be explained in an understandable way and operational readiness to be strengthened.
