The ping200X mini controller developed by uAvionix allows the drone pilot to enter a transponder or squawk code and set the appropriate operating mode before launching the drone. This allows air traffic control to uniquely identify the drones in use.

Intended use

The Mini Controller can be used as a control element for the ping200X and ping200XR transponder when no connection to the flight controller and remote ground control station is desired. The ping200X Mini Controller provides the ability to switch the transponder to standby, on or ALT mode and enter the transponder or squawk code. The serial control protocol is based on industry standards and provides broad autopilot support.
