WHO IS HELPING
THE DJI DOCK?
Facts about the DJI Dock 2
Dual camera surveillance
The DJI Dock 2 is equipped with an internal and an external fisheye camera that provides real-time images. This precise monitoring both inside and outside the dock allows operators to remotely monitor environmental and weather conditions as well as the take-off and landing of the aircraft.
Quick start & fast loading
With the DJI Dock 2's two integrated RTK antennas, the aircraft receives precise location information for a return without having to wait for RTK data to be merged. In addition, the dock enables a full propeller check and takeoff in just 45 seconds to get you up and running quickly.
Thanks to the DJI Dock 2, the aircraft can be charged from 20% to 90% in just 32 minutes, ensuring an effective power supply for continuous operation.
Flight route editor & FlyTo tasks
Thanks to high-precision 3D models, operators can visually adjust the flight route from a first-person perspective and preview the simulated images. This enables intuitive and efficient processes and improves the accuracy and effectiveness of flight route planning.
FlyTo tasks in DJI FlightHub 2 use highly accurate 3D models to automatically plan the optimal flight route. Before an urgent task, operators simply click on the destination and the aircraft navigates an efficient and safe route to the destination.
Cloud-based mapping
Once the flight task has been completed, the DJI FlightHub 2 creates high-precision 3D models based on the recorded flight data and authentically depicts the operating environment. These models can be commented on, measured and downloaded.
Live flight control & obstacle detection
By using DJI FlightHub 2 or a third-party cloud platform, it is possible to control flight and gimbal angles via keyboard and mouse, even when the DJI Dock 2 is used in a remote region.
When performing automatic flight tasks, the drone uses omnidirectional obstacle detection and automatic obstacle avoidance to maintain the success rate of flight tasks.
Product features of the DJI Dock 2
-
Lightweight design
Installation of the DJI Dock 2 is more flexible and cost-effective as it is 75% smaller and 68% lighter than its predecessor. It is easy to transport with just two people.
-
Quick location evaluation
Thanks to vision sensors, the aircraft can recognize the surroundings before the drone is deployed and quickly determine whether the area has strong GNSS signals. This innovative, vision-based assessment speeds up site selection many times over and reduces it from five hours to twelve minutes or less.
-
Weather resistant
DJI Dock 2 is ready for use in extreme weather conditions. Equipped with IP55 protection, it is dust and water resistant and can be operated flawlessly in harsh climates and environments for extended periods of time.
-
Automatic monitoring of the environment
Various sensors are integrated into the DJI Dock 2, including those for rain, wind speed and temperature, which detect changes in the weather in real time. Combined with online weather forecasts, it is able to generate timely warnings or abort flight missions via DJI FlightHub 2 to efficiently minimize flight risk.
-
Improved stability during landing
Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art image recognition technology, the drone detects the position markings on the landing surface with extreme precision. In addition, the newly integrated centering of the landing surface using a sliding ramp helps to further improve and simplify the landing.
-
Built-in emergency battery
In the event of an unforeseen power failure, the DJI Dock 2 can be operated autonomously for more than five hours thanks to the integrated emergency battery. This leaves enough time for the drone to return and land safely.
-
Maintenance cycle of six months
Thanks to its high level of protection and reliability, the DJI Dock 2 only requires maintenance every six months. This effectively reduces personnel costs.
-
Notifications in the event of unusual conditions
If errors or emergencies occur with DJI Dock 2 or the aircraft, DJI FlightHub 2 will immediately send email notifications. This allows operators to accurately identify and resolve issues based on the information provided.
-
Aircraft with outstanding performance
The new DJI Matrice 3D/3TD has been specially designed for the DJI Dock 2. The Matrice 3D has both a telephoto and a wide-angle camera with mechanical shutter, making it ideal for high-precision mapping tasks at a scale of 1:500. The Matrice 3TD is equipped with a wide-angle, telephoto and infrared camera that can capture both visible and thermal images. This makes it perfect for security and inspection tasks.
-
Coordination between cloud platforms
The FlightHub Sync function of the DJI FlightHub 2 allows pilots to easily connect it to a third-party cloud platform for flexible management of operational data.
-
Edge Computing
The DJI Dock 2 is equipped with an edge computing extension interface that enables pre-processing of media files and other tasks to further increase operational efficiency.
-
Use in private environments with cloud API
The Cloud API allows you to develop a customized management system for the DJI Dock 2 or easily integrate it with a third-party cloud platform for efficient and convenient private use.
-
External payloads
To extend the functionality, it is possible to connect external third-party payloads, such as speakers and spotlights, via the aircraft's E-connector and control the additional payload via DJI FlightHub 2. In addition, the aircraft's Lite-E port allows the connection of a parachute for even greater flight and personnel safety.
-
DJI TerraAPI
DJI TerraAPI makes it possible to seamlessly integrate the powerful mapping functions of DJI Terra into your own dock management systems. This allows automated 2D/3D reconstructions and custom workflows for photo mapping to be realized. This ensures that the operational results of the DJI Dock 2 are better adapted to the requirements of a wide range of industrial applications.
