Prepare for the A2 drone license flexibly and from any location - at your own pace. The package includes unlimited access to the Droniq Academy, which allows you to complete the training in around 8-10 hours, depending on your prior knowledge, within one to two weeks.
Each chapter contains a learning objective check that reveals gaps in your knowledge and enables targeted repetition. A final test gives you the opportunity to check your knowledge and optimally prepare for the exam.

Prerequisite for admission to the examination
- EU Certificate of Competence for Remote Pilots (A1/A3)
- Declaration of practical self-study according to UAS.OPEN.040 or proof of practical training at a PStF.
- Minimum age 16 years (if you are a minor, you must have the written consent of the legal representatives (informally or alternatively on a form that you will receive from us).
- Presentation of a valid proof of identity (identity card or passport)
- EU Certificate of Competence for Remote Pilots (A1/A3)
- Declaration of completion of a practical self-study course in accordance with UAS.OPEN.040 or presentation of corresponding evidence, e.g. certificate of completed practical training at a remote pilot test center (PStF)

System requirements
Online exam:
A standard PC/laptop with microphone and webcam as well as a stable internet connection is required for the online exam. Choose a quiet, undisturbed location for the exam. A 360-degree room scan is required before the exam, so you should determine the room in advance.
E-learning:

Scope of delivery
After successfully placing your order, you will receive an e-mail with access to the e-learning for the Droniq Academy's remote pilot certificate A2 / drone license. The training takes about 8-10 hours.
To register for the online exam, you will also receive an e-mail with an upload link for all required documents. After we have checked all documents for completeness, you will receive another link to reserve your personal appointment/exam day for the online exam.
Please note:
A fee is charged for the issue, renewal and amendment of certificates. The LBA charges a fee of EUR 30.00 for issuing an A2 remote pilot certificate for the "open" operating category (source: LBA).

Registration and identity check
To begin with, you must register on the platform and verify your identity. This is done quickly and easily so that you can take the test under secure and official conditions.

Preparation and online training
Before the actual exam, you have the opportunity to prepare for the exam using the included e-learning. Here you can learn the relevant topics at your own pace and check your knowledge with learning objective tests.

Start of examination
On the selected exam day, the time slot for your exam is open from 00:00 to 23:59. You can start the exam at any time during this time slot. The exam is proctored by AI-driven proctoring technology to ensure fairness and absence of cheating

Exam content
The exam to obtain the EU Remote Pilot Certificate A2 consists of 30 questions from the subject areas of meteorology, UAS flight performance and technical and operational mitigation of risks on the ground. To pass the exam, you must answer at least 75% of the questions correctly across all subject areas.

Audit completion and result
After successfully completing the exam, you will receive your result immediately. Successfully passed examinations are sent directly to the LBA for the issue of the remote pilot certificate. The LBA charges a fee of EUR 30 for issuing the certificate.

The certificate is officially recognized and entitles you to use drones in the open operations category (subcategory A2). You can use it for professional or private purposes.

What requirements must be met in order to take the A2 exam?
To obtain the EU Remote Pilot Certificate A2, the following requirements must be met:

A valid identity card or passport
Possession of the A1/A3 certificate of competence
Proof of successful completion of the practical self-study course
How long does the exam take?
The online exam lasts a maximum of 45 minutes. The exam can be taken flexibly within the specified time window.
Can the exam be repeated if it is not passed?
Yes, the examination can be repeated after a short waiting period in order to obtain the certificate. Further information on repeat examinations can be found in the examination guidelines.
How does the candidate receive the remote pilot certificate?
Successfully passed examinations are sent directly to the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA). The A2 remote pilot certificate is issued by the LBA.
What happens if the exam is not passed?
If you fail the exam, we can provide you with detailed feedback on the failed questions on request, enabling you to prepare specifically for the repeat exam. A repeat examination is only possible by law after 7 days.
