Thanks to automated exam proctoring with Proctorio, you can take the online exam at any time and from any location. You choose your exam day and can start the exam in the time window from 00:00 to 23:59. The exam is AI-powered proctored to ensure fairness and security.

A PC or laptop with a microphone, webcam and a stable internet connection is required for the online exam. The Google Chrome browser and the Proctorio extension must be installed before the exam. This extension is available in German and English and adapts to the language setting of the browser.

Technical requirements:

• Proctorio extension (available free of charge at getproctorio.com)

• Stable Internet connection (at least 1 Mbit/s)

To obtain the EU Remote Pilot Certificate A2, the following requirements must be met:

• Minimum age of 16 years

• A valid identity card or passport

• Possession of the A1/A3 certificate of competence

• Proof of successful completion of the practical self-study course

The online exam lasts a maximum of 45 minutes. The exam can be taken flexibly within the specified time window.

The online exam for the A2 Remote Pilot Certificate can be taken no earlier than seven days after your registration. This gives you sufficient time to study, submit all required documents, and we will review them according to the requirements of the Federal Aviation Office.

After receiving the access data for the Aviationexam examination platform, the online examination must be taken within the next 6 months. 

Yes, the examination can be repeated after a short waiting period in order to obtain the certificate. Further information on repeat examinations can be found in the examination guidelines.

Successfully passed examinations are sent directly to the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA). The A2 remote pilot certificate is issued by the LBA.

The A2 drone license (officially: EU remote pilot certificate A2) is valid for 5 years. After that, you can easily extend it by taking refresher training.

If you fail the exam, we can provide you with detailed feedback on the failed questions on request, enabling you to prepare specifically for the repeat exam. A repeat examination is only possible by law after 7 days.
