DJI FlyCart field test: transport drone shows BOS potential

How powerful is the DJI FlyCart really?

We investigated this question together with the Partenkirchen volunteer fire department - in a realistic practical test on the grounds of the Langen model flying club. The aim of the test was to test the transport capabilities of the drone in typical deployment scenarios for authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS).

Background: What can the DJI FlyCart do?

The DJI FlyCart is one of the most powerful transport drones on the market. It was developed to transport heavy loads reliably and efficiently over medium distances - even under difficult environmental conditions. This can make all the difference for emergency services, for example when material needs to be transported quickly and precisely to hard-to-reach places.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. The practical test: Flying with payload - in wind and weather

Despite changeable weather conditions with "English rain", the DJI FlyCart completed all test flights with ease:

  • Transporting water canisters: several canisters were attached to determine the maximum load capacity. Result: 40 kilograms payload in single-battery operation - safe flight, stable landing.

  • On-board equipment: In the next step, we tested typical BOS scenarios:

    • Fire pump

    • Backpacks

The drone reliably transported the equipment to the target point - a valuable option when terrain, time or safety make traditional access difficult.

  • Focus on flight time:
With a payload of 25 kilograms, the FlyCart achieved a flight time of around 20 minutes in two-battery operation - a very good result that covers many areas of use.

Conclusion: Flexible, strong, suitable for use

The DJI FlyCart has impressively proven its suitability as a transportation solution for emergency services. Whether for supplying remote deployment sites, transporting heavy equipment or as part of disaster control measures - the drone shows how modern technology can make BOS operations more efficient and safer.

We would like to thank the Partenkirchen Volunteer Fire Brigade for their support and the practical exchange!
