Intended use

The DJI 4G dongle was developed for demanding operational scenarios in which a reliable connection is crucial. Especially in areas such as police, fire departments and aid organizations, the dongle ensures stable control and uninterrupted real-time transmission of image and video material, even in challenging environments. Whether in urban areas, difficult to access terrain or dense radio networks, the 4G dongle ensures that your drone always remains controllable, even when conventional connections fail.

Application scenarios:

  • Police: Observations at major events, situational awareness at demonstrations, operations in urban areas with obstacles and interference, as well as crime scene and accident investigation from the air.
  • Fire departments: Firefighting in remote areas, live transmission to incident command for better decisions, searching for embers in forest fires and disaster operations.
  • Relief organizations: Rapid situation assessment after natural disasters, search for missing persons in inaccessible terrain, support during evacuations and live data transmission to remote operations centers.

The 4G dongle extends the range, overcomes dead spots and ensures reliable control, even in the most critical operating conditions.

For optimum performance, two dongles are required - one for the controller, one for the drone. Depending on the DJI device, you will need either the DJI Mobile Dongle 1 or the DJI Mobile Dongle 2.

Notice:

  • The 4G dongle offers a free subscription to the extended transmission service for the first year and is the ideal solution for applications where every second and every image counts.
  • The annual connectivity subscription is automatically terminated after 12 Mondays and must be actively renewed by the user. Costs for renewal (EUR 60.00 net for monthly billing, EUR 720.00 net for annual billing). The one-off set-up fee is waived when the contract is extended.
