Drone Operations Consultant (M/W/D)

Who we are

We are a joint venture of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH and Deutsche Telekom AG. Our goal is the safe and efficient integration of drones into German airspace. We enable commercial drone operations beyond visual range.

Your tasks

  • Advising UAS operators on the preparation of operational descriptions and risk assessments.
  • Guiding UAS operators through the process of obtaining operating licenses and LUCs
  • Interface between UAS operators and competent (aviation) authorities, air traffic control units and other bodies
  • Support of our customers in all project phases: Creation of requirement and solution concepts, support during planning, approval, implementation and ongoing operation.
  • Close cooperation with product & sales team
  • Support in the creation of learning and examination content for the Droniq Academy
  • Advising internal product management on product development

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies or comparable degree in the field of aviation management or information technology
  • Very good knowledge of approval processes under aviation law with state aviation authorities and the Federal Aviation Authority as well as in flight operations management
  • Experience in the preparation of manuals for flight operations or flight schools
  • Terms like VO(EU), AMC, GM, Easy Access Rules, ConOps, SORA, LUC are well known
  • Very confident handling of MS-Office products
  • Very good knowledge of German & English (spoken, written)
  • Pilot license (min. PPL, CPL desirable)
