The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) has published the new edition of the "Recommendations for Common Regulations on the Use of Drones in Civil Protection" (EGRED 2 for short):
EGRED is an indispensable basis for safe and effective drone operation by or on behalf of non-police authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS for short) in civil protection.
The "Light UAS Operator Certificate" (LUC) is a certificate valid throughout Europe for organizations that use drones in this special category. It allows more autonomy, for example in the approval of flying areas - without additional official procedures. This saves time & creates operational flexibility.
