DroneConnect Ground

Traffic receiving station for ground-based air situation display

The DroneConnect Ground (DCG) antenna serves as a ground station for receiving traffic information. It acts as a sensor for air traffic data by receiving ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) and FLARM (Flight Alarm) signals from surrounding aircraft such as gliders, helicopters and motorized aircraft. It also captures DRI (Direct Remote ID) signals from drones.

Advantages

  • Weatherproof & weather resistant antenna for large area airspace monitoring.
  • Receives ADS-B and FLARM signals from surrounding air traffic such as gliders, helicopters and motorized aircraft
  • Captures Direct Remode ID signals from drones
  • Versatile use thanks to various mounting options (U- or L-shaped brackets, tripod or suction cup)
  • Certified to protection class IP65.
  • Operational around the clock (24/7).

Intended use

The DroneConnect Ground (DCG) antenna acts as a traffic receiving station that collects air traffic data. It receives ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) and FLARM (Flight Alarm) signals from surrounding air traffic participants such as gliders, helicopters and motorized aircraft as well as DRI (Direct Remote ID) signals from drones. This data is transmitted via LTE to the Droniq UTM (UAS Traffic Management) system, where it is combined with other data sources.

Thanks to UTM web access from Droniq, the pilot can view all available traffic data in a fused format, which completes the UAS pilot's aerial situation information. The compact, modular design of the DroneConnect Ground antenna and its certification according to protection class 67 enable operation in a variety of locations. Thanks to accessories such as a tripod, various U- or L-shaped mounts or a suction cup, the antenna can be used in mobile or stationary applications.

Product Features

  • ADS-B & FLARM receiver

The station receives ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) and FLARM (Flight Alarm) signals from surrounding aircraft such as gliders, helicopters and motorized aircraft.

  • LTE connectivity

ADS-B and FLARM signals are sent via LTE to Droniq's drone traffic management system (UTM), where they are fused with other data sources.

  • Captures Direct Remote ID

The DroneConnect Ground ground station captures Direct Remote ID signals from surrounding drones.

  • UTM integration

The DroneConnect Ground Station transmits its current position to the Droniq UTM, making it visible to others. By accessing the UTM system, drone pilots receive a combined view of all available traffic data. This enables a visualization of the air situation for the remote pilot.

  • Self-sufficient use around the clock

Thanks to its slim design and IP67 certification, the traffic reception station can be permanently installed at various locations and operated around the clock (24/7).

DJI Enterprise Check: Which drone is suitable for what?

The new M4T from DJI was released in January of this year. This means that DJI has launched another enterprise drone on the market - and as a result, our customers are increasingly asking which enterprise drone is actually the best for their applications.

In the next episode of our DRONIQlive webinar, we will take a closer look at this question and take a look at the individual enterprise drones.

We look forward to your participation on 12.02.2025 at 7 pm!
