Droniq at the WindEnergy in Hamburg

Droniq sets new standards in offshore wind power maintenance

As the leading platform for renewable energy innovations and solutions, WindEnergy Hamburg 2024 once again demonstrated the central role wind power plays in the global energy mix. For Droniq, this was the ideal opportunity to showcase our latest technologies and share our vision for more efficient and sustainable offshore wind power maintenance.

BVLOS drone solutions: The future for offshore inspections

A key highlight of our trade fair presence was the presentation of our BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone solution, which was developed for the inspection of both onshore and offshore wind turbines. With this technology, we make it possible to maintain wind turbines faster, safer and more cost-efficiently. The drones fly autonomously over wind farms and collect important data on the condition of the turbines in real time - without the need to bring a human inspector into risky environments.

This not only offers enormous advantages in terms of safety and efficiency, but also makes an important contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions. This is because the use of drones can drastically reduce costly helicopter flights or ship deployments.

Networking and new partnerships

The trade fair not only gave us the opportunity to present our solutions to a wide audience, but also to make numerous valuable contacts. The interest in our BVLOS drone and our other solutions for the wind power industry was overwhelming. We were able to hold exciting discussions with representatives from leading companies and further advance our vision of more efficient and sustainable offshore turbine maintenance.

A particular trade fair highlight for us was the joint stand with Aero Enterprise GmbH. On site, we also signed a cooperation agreement aimed at closer collaboration in the field of wind turbine inspection. This partnership will enable both companies to pool their expertise and develop innovative solutions for the industry. Together, we want to make the maintenance of wind turbines even safer and more efficient through the use of advanced drone technology.

Future topics in the wind power industry

A key topic for the future in the wind energy sector is lightning protection measurement and the inspection of wind turbines during operation. Traditionally, this maintenance work often requires the turbines to be shut down, which can lead to production downtime. We are working on using drone technology to ensure that WAE inspections can be carried out even more efficiently and safely in the future - even without shutting down the turbines.

Conclusion on WindEnergy 2024

WindEnergy Hamburg 2024 was a great success for Droniq. Our drone technologies met with great interest and we are confident that we can make an important contribution to the further development of offshore wind power with our innovations. The positive exchange and the many new partnerships give us valuable impetus for the coming months.
