The Hausham mountain rescue service in the district of Miesbach uses state-of-the-art drone technology for faster and more efficient rescue operations in Bavaria's alpine regions. With new equipment, it locates people faster, records damage situations more precisely and optimizes search and rescue missions.

Kieler Woche, one of the largest sailing events in the world, provided the setting for an innovative drone project in 2024, which was intended to improve the safety and efficiency of rescue operations. Together with Droniq GmbH, the Kiel fire department tested the use of drone flights beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) to evaluate the possibilities of this technology in rescue operations.

The restoration of the Waldsassen monastery church presented an extraordinary challenge: In order to create a precise 3D model of the church, it was necessary to fly over the interior. As this could only be carried out manually, experienced drone pilots were required who could navigate safely even in complex environments.

How can a drone find drowning victims on the open sea? That's what the LARUS project investigated. Thanks to Droniq's aerial situational awareness, dangerous approaches with manned air traffic could be avoided.

The pipeline network of the gas transport network operator Thyssengas covers around 4,200 km. The pipelines have to be flown regularly - this will be done by drones in the future. Droniq supports this with an LTE modem (HOD4track) as well as aerial displays of the relevant air traffic in the vicinity.
