Project ADAM: Advanced Air Space Mapping

Project ADAM
The ADAM (Advanced Air Space Mapping) project was launched last week! For the hybrid kick-off event, the hosts Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Ingolstadt and Continental Automotive Technologies in Frankfurt am Main.

The project aims to use 3D maps to increase the operational safety of UAS and simplify their flight authorisation. This should make a significant contribution to the certifiability of autonomous flight and support the federal initiative to establish a German UAM lead market.

In the project, Droniq is mainly concerned with providing the voxel maps to the drone operators via our UTM Traffic Management System, which is being further developed as part of the research project.

Further information can be found in the attached article "A bird's eye view of the digital world" of the journal Informationsdienst Wissenschaft (idw) or on our project website.

Project funding: Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV)
Project partner: Fraunhofer IVI | Fraunhofer IOSB | Continental Automotive Technologies Sedenius Engineering GmbH | Technical University of Munich | BIT Technology Solutions | Airclip Services | Paul & Kayser Ingenieur Gesellschaft | AEF
