AERODRONES 2024

Strong trade fair presence

Last week, the AERO took place in Friedrichhafen from Wednesday to Saturday. The leading aviation trade fair in the DACH region celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. With a total of 31,500 visitors from 81 nations, the number of visitors to the trade fair was significantly higher than last year's edition.

It was not only the representatives of manned aviation who were pleased with the lively visitor interest. Hall A2 was also very popular. This is where AERODRONES took place from Wednesday to Friday. On around 4,000 square meters, everything was focused on unmanned aviation. Among other things, AERODRONES is regarded as THE drone trade fair for BOS forces (authorities and organizations with security tasks). Accordingly, the exhibitors included numerous police, fire and rescue services.

Droniq was also on site in Hall A2. The DFS subsidiary was represented at AERODRONES this year with a powerful team and a large agenda. This included the organization of ten of its own events. The highlights here were the panels organized by Droniq with EASA and other market participants on the future topic of i-Conspicuity. Another highlight was the presentation of the current development status of Droniq's BOS Radar App by company boss Jan-Eric Putze.

Also on the agenda: the presentation of autonomous drone missions. With these, the drone pilot no longer needs to be on site to control the aircraft. Visitors to the Droniq stand were able to find out for themselves just how great the potential of this technology is. Using a PC, they were able to operate a drone-in-a-box system over 700 kilometers away and control its drone from the AERODRONES. What initially sounds like a gimmick left many visitors with enthusiastic faces in view of the associated advantages for future drone operations.

The presentation of new drones, information on current Droniq projects and joint networking at the Droniq stand rounded off the company's offer and ensured that the Droniq stand was one of the most frequented places in Hall A2.

"The AERO was a complete success for us," summarizes Droniq CEO Jan-Eric Putze. "We made a good impression on many visitors with our program. The trade fair also led to exciting discussions with potential new customers, which we intend to intensify over the coming weeks."

Droniq will be represented at AERODRONES again next year.

DRONIQlive: How drones help to rescue fawns

Rescuing fawns with the help of drones is a hot topic. Every spring, farmers start mowing their fields and unfortunately fawns are often caught by the mowing machines without being detected.

Drones can be a great help in saving the animals! Equipped with thermal imaging cameras, drone pilots can spot the animals from the air before it is too late. This allows farmers, hunters or other helpers to rescue the fawns in good time.

In our next edition of DRONIQlive on Thu, 23.05.2024 at 7 pm, we will take a closer look at this topic. We look forward to your participation!
