Live demonstration at Kamenz airfield
This week, the Kamenz airfield provided the stage for a special drone event organized by Droniq together with Nokia, TU Dresden and AEF - Autonom Elektrisch Fliegen gGmbH. The focus was on an exciting live demonstration of the Nokia Drone Network - an innovative solution developed specifically for the public safety sector (BOS).
The Nokia Drone Network: Innovation for BOS and industrial applications
The Nokia Drone Network impresses with its 4G/LTE and 5G connectivity, which enables large-scale and secure beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations. This is particularly relevant for BOS surveillance and deployment scenarios where reliable connectivity and seamless integration into safety-critical systems are crucial. Thanks to CE and FCC certification, the drone dock offers maximum safety and efficiency. But the Nokia Drone Network also offers enormous advantages in industry. With its open API structure and fully in-house developed technology, it is a powerful solution for a wide range of industrial applications - from infrastructure monitoring to process automation.
Our contribution: Digital visibility
Our contribution to this event was the digital visualization of the Nokia Drone Network. With our technology, we ensure that drone pilots always have an overview of their surroundings and the traffic around them. This is particularly essential in areas with high flight volumes and for BVLOS flights. Secure integration into existing traffic systems is a top priority for us.
Conclusion: A successful day for the future of drone technology
We would like to thank all participants for a successful event and look forward to many exciting projects that will arise from this collaboration. The Nokia Drone Network has once again shown how important innovative technologies are for the future of public safety and industrial processes.
