EASA Horizon Project: iConspicuity

Project invites to the closing event

Last Friday, the final event of the project took place at the EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) in Cologne, where our employee Helge Mikuda was the technical director and was accompanied by Ralph Schepp and Alexander Tummes.

The event provided a platform for experts and interested parties to exchange views on the various systems of visualization in aviation and their effects.

Our conclusion on electronic visibility in general aviation

The basis of electronic visibility in general aviation will be the combination of non-certified and certified systems. The interoperability of the different systems must be made possible by a common language (such as ADS-L) and ground networks. There are still many tasks to be mastered here, whereby the communication and information of the pilots must not be neglected.

Easier & faster entry into regular operation with the LUC

The "Light UAS Operator Certificate" (LUC) is a certificate valid throughout Europe for organizations that use drones in this special category. It allows more autonomy, for example in the approval of flying areas - without additional official procedures. This saves time & creates operational flexibility.

In our DRONIQlive webinar, experts from the LBA, Droniq & from the field will explain for whom the LUC is worthwhile and how it facilitates regular operations. We look forward to your participation on 29.04.2025 at 7 pm!
