We qualify you to become professional remote pilots

As Droniq, it is our task to integrate drones safely and professionally into the airspace. The Droniq Academy provides the foundation: we offer theoretical and practical training including exams for the A2 remote pilot certificate.

Of course, we are a testing center for remote pilots in Germany (DE.PStF.035) designated by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt.

Our Aviation Consultants are trained flight instructors, drone & commercial pilots and have a comprehensive overview of the entire subject. We are happy to pass on this knowledge to our customers in the form of training courses.

Frequently asked questions about Droniq Academy training & exams?

Since 01 January 2021, new drone rules have been in force across Europe, which are governed by Regulations (EU) 2019/947 and 2019/945. They harmonize the requirements for drone flight in the individual member states. In this context, drone pilots must acquire the certificate of proficiency in subcategory A1/A3 or the EU remote pilot certificate A2.

Droniq's online training for remote pilots A2 supports you optimally in preparing for the acquisition of the EU remote pilot certificate A2. You can work through the learning content and consolidate your knowledge independently of time and place.

After you have purchased the online training in our store, you will receive the access data to the Droniq Academy in an e-mail. Here you can work through the learning content according to your own time management and personal learning speed. Once you have worked through all the learning content, you can test your knowledge yourself using sample questions from the topics relevant to the exam.

As soon as you feel you are ready for the A2 remote pilot certificate exam, Droniq currently offers exams for the drone license as a face-to-face exam at the company headquarters in Frankfurt and at the Cottbus-Neuhausen, Finsterwalde, Flensburg, Görlitz, Hamburg, Kamenz and Mönchengladbach (airfield) sites.

As a rule, there is one examination date per location at least once a month. You can find our current exam dates here.

  • Minimum age 16 years (if you are a minor, you must have the written consent of the legal representatives (informally or alternatively on a form that you will receive from us).
  • Presentation of a valid proof of identity (identity card or passport)
  • EU Certificate of Competence for Remote Pilots (A1/A3)
  • Declaration of completion of a practical self-study course in accordance with UAS.OPEN.040 or presentation of corresponding evidence, e.g. certificate of completed practical training at a remote pilot test center (PStF)

All documents must be available on the day of the examination at the latest, otherwise we will unfortunately not be able to admit you to the examination.

Droniq also offers courses, practical training including exams for companies. In 2 days we qualify you to A2 remote pilots in theory training including taking the exam. In the practical training your drone pilots will learn how to fly UAS. You can use your own drones for the practical training. We are also happy to bring drones from our fleet.

How drones and AI are helping farmers to identify species in grassland

From mid-March to the end of May, farmers can earn money quickly and easily. The reason for this is Organic Regulation 5, which has been in force since 2023. Farmers who provide evidence of indicator species on their green spaces receive a subsidy.

What is time-consuming by hand is child's play and fast thanks to the drone and AI: the drone flies over the green space in just a few minutes. The collected data is evaluated for possible indicator species using AI-based software. The farmer receives the result a few hours later and can apply for the subsidy.

In our next webinar on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 7 p.m., we will take a closer look at this process.
