Comprehensive BOS group training for drone task forces

Get the full potential of your drone units with our specially developed 2-day training course for authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS). This training is tailor-made for fire departments, civil protection and police and offers you:

  • Theoretical A2 exam preparation: Preparation for the theoretical A2 exam takes place via the Droniq Academy's tailor-made e-learning program. The subsequent face-to-face exam is conducted professionally on laptops using the latest exam software.
  • BOS-specific e-learning: All participants receive access to the e-learning "BOS knowledge for remote pilots". This module deals with operationally relevant topics and is specifically geared towards the requirements of BOS units.
  • Legal basis & EGRED II: The training provides comprehensive knowledge of the legal framework and the recommendations for common regulations on the use of drones in civil protection (EGRED II).
  • Practical recommendations for action: Our instructors pass on specific tips and best practices for the safe and effective use of drones in BOS operations.
  • Practical flight training for operational scenarios: In flight training, participants practise realistic mission scenarios with different levels of difficulty, performance groups and task profiles.
  • Experienced BOS lecturers & classroom training: The combination of modern e-learning and practice-oriented classroom training ensures an effective learning experience. Our instructors have in-depth experience in the BOS environment and prepare your teams specifically for the exam and operational deployment.
  • Training on your own premises possible: For 10 or more participants, we offer the opportunity to conduct training and testing directly at your office or facility - efficiently, flexibly and locally.

Contents at a glance

A2 remote pilot certificate:

  • Meteorology (e.g. introduction, weather influences, wind, temperature, visibility, air density, weather forecasts)
  • UAS flight performance (including typical operating ranges, mass, balance, center of gravity location, influence of payloads, securing payloads, knowledge of battery/battery modes of operation, avoiding unsafe conditions,
  • Technical and operational mitigation of risks on the ground (including slow flight mode, estimation of distances, 1:1 rule).

BOS knowledge for remote pilots:

  • Air law and safety
  • Human performance in BOS operations
  • Operational procedures (general and in BOS operations)
  • General UAS customer
  • Legal situation for BOS
  • Operational tactics and procedure
  • Technical basics and limits
  • Meteorology
  • Risk assessment in use

Admission to the exam

  • EU Certificate of Competence for Remote Pilots (A1/A3)
  • Statement of practical self-study in accordance with UAS.OPEN.040 or evidence of practical training at a PStF.
  • Minimum age 16 years (if you are a minor, you must have the written consent of the legal representatives (informally or alternatively on a form that you will receive from us).
  • Presentation of a valid proof of identity (identity card or passport)
  • All documents must be available on the day of the examination at the latest, otherwise we will unfortunately not be able to admit you to the examination.

Most current end devices and connections already have these requirements as standard, so no special technical means are necessary.

Notice:
The issuance, renewal and amendment of the certificates are subject to fees. For the issuance of a remote pilot certificate A2 for the operating category "open", the LBA charges fees in the amount of 30.00 EUR.
