Droniq at drone meeting in Canada
Our Managing Directors Jan-Eric Putze and Ralph Schepp were in Montreal, Canada at Drone Enable 2023.
The invitation was a great honor for the two of them, especially as the entire unmanned aviation industry comes together. This time under the motto "Innovations and Infrastructure".
CEO Jan-Eric Putze spoke on the subject of UTM systems. A UTM is a traffic management system for drones that displays the positions of manned and unmanned aircraft in real time. The aim is to keep air traffic safe for everyone involved.
Meanwhile, COO Ralph Schepp was at a Global UTM Association (GUTMA) conference. This association represents innovative drone services and organizations with the aim of creating a fair global drone market. Ralph Schepp is delighted: "It was an excellent event. A strong global community is working on the challenges of UTM implementation and meeting them through real action".
Findings: Similar challenges worldwide
Jan-Eric Putze's insight: The challenges we face in Germany are similar around the world. The further west you go, the more complex the implementation of the U-Space concept becomes. This poses fewer challenges, especially for countries that are less densely populated and have less complex airspace.
Good news: "The discussions and presentations held at Drone Enable are growing in depth and it is only a matter of time before drones can realize their full potential," says CEO Putze.
Conclusion: Great opportunities
The management returned with the clear conclusion that patience is required, but that drones will develop their full potential in the future. They see great opportunities in the professional BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) environment in particular.
"Our strategic direction is confirmed by the findings from the conference and we will continue to work hard to make our contribution to the development of this promising sector," concludes Jan-Eric Putze.
It was a successful event in Canada - Droniq is already looking forward to the next visit!
