BVLOS - Beyond Visual Line of Sight

The term stands for "beyond visual line of sight". Refers to drone operation beyond the visual line of sight of the remote pilot. For such operations, private and commercial users need a special permit from the responsible aviation authority. BOS forces are exempt from this requirement. They are exempt from the corresponding requirements in the event of an operation.
