Intended use

The next-generation DJI Cellular Dongle 2 is specifically designed to connect your DJI devices to 4G networks, providing a stable high-speed connection. Thanks to Antenna Switch Diversity (ASDIV) technology, outstanding performance is achieved that impresses even in complex flight scenarios.

 

Improved transmission technology:
With the Enhanced Transmission feature, the Cellular Dongle 2 works in synergy with 4G networks. This technology enables the drone to overcome obstacles or interference. If the original video signal is disrupted, the drone can still be controlled via the 4G connection, significantly reducing the likelihood of a connection interruption. A free annual subscription to this service is included in the scope of delivery.

 

Compatibility and installation:
The Mobile Dongle 2 is compatible with the following DJI devices:

  • DJI Dock 2
  • DJI Matrice 3D/3TD
  • DJI Matrice 4T/4E
  • DJI Air 3/Air 3S Series
  • DJI Mini 4 Pro (mounting kit required)

For the DJI Air 3, the dongle can be used directly without a mounting kit. For the DJI Mini 4 Pro, an additional mounting kit, including the 4G antennas, must be purchased.

Scope of delivery

  • 1x DJI mobile dongle 2
  • Incl. free annual subscription for the DJI service "Improved transmission" included. From the 2nd year, an additional 29 EUR per year will be charged for use.

Notes on use:

  • An additional SIM card is required and must be installed in the dongle, which you can purchase from us(DJI Mobile Dongle 2 with connectivity).
  • Data consumption is approx. 1GB per 30 minutes of flight time.
  • When using the DJI RC2, the remote control must be connected to the Internet via the mobile hotspot of the cell phone. The DJI RC-N2 automatically accesses the mobile data of the cell phone. We also recommend equipping the remote control with a dongle.
  • To ensure optimum performance, the drone should be operated in areas with a strong 4G signal.

Tips:

  • To take advantage of the improved transmission, the drone should be operated in areas where the 4G signal from the remote control or smartphone is received strongly or almost completely. As the enhanced transmission is based on a 4G network, delays and jerking may occur. Therefore, always fly with caution.
  • After one year of active use of the improved transfer service, please follow the instructions in the app to extend the service if required.
  • DJI reserves the right to discontinue the enhanced transmission service at any time in accordance with local laws and regulations. However, this change will not affect the other functions of the Mobile Dongle 2.
  • Due to data protection regulations, the correct version of the enhanced transmission service must be purchased for your location. There are two versions - one for mainland China and one for all other regions.
