Intended use

The DJI Cellular Dongle 1 utilizes the synergy between the original video transmission and 4G networks to ensure a seamless connection even under difficult conditions. Even in the presence of obstacles or interference, the drone can still be controlled via the 4G network, effectively minimizing connection interruptions. This makes controlling your drone even safer and more reliable - even in challenging environments.

This accessory is an essential upgrade for anyone who wants maximum stability and performance from their DJI devices.

 

Improved transmission technology:
With the Enhanced Transmission feature, the Cellular Dongle 1 works in synergy with 4G networks. This technology enables the drone to overcome obstacles or interference. If the original video signal is disrupted, the drone can still be controlled via the 4G connection, significantly reducing the likelihood of a connection interruption. A free annual subscription to this service is included in the scope of delivery.

 

Compatibility and installation:
The mobile dongle 1 (LTE USB modem) is compatible with the following DJI devices:

Notes on use:

  • An additional SIM card is required and must be installed in the dongle, which you can purchase from us(DJI mobile dongle with connectivity)
  • Data consumption is approx. 1GB per 30 minutes of flight time.

Tips:

  • Only use the enhanced transmission in areas where the drone can receive an almost full 4G signal from the remote control or your smartphone. Please note that the enhanced transmission is based on a 4G network, which can lead to delays or stuttering. Therefore, always fly with caution.
  • After one year of active use of the improved transmission service, you can subscribe to it again via the app if required. To do this, follow the instructions in the app.
  • DJI reserves the right to discontinue the enhanced transmission service at any time in accordance with local laws and regulations. However, discontinuation of this service will not affect the other connection functions of the mobile dongle.
  • Due to data protection regulations, be sure to purchase the correct version of the enhanced transmission service that corresponds to your location. Two versions are available: one for mainland China and one for countries and regions outside mainland China.
