Conditions of participation

1st organizer

The organizer of the competition is Droniq GmbH, Ginnheimer Stadtweg 88, 60431 Frankfurt (hereinafter: organizer).

Participation in the organizer's competitions is free of charge and is governed exclusively by these conditions of participation.

The competition is subject to the following conditions of participation.

In addition, reference is made to the General Terms and Conditions(www.droniq.de/agb/) and the data protection provisions(www.droniq.de/datenschutz/) of the organizer.

2. participation

The competition will take place from 17.04.2024 (9:00 am) to 19.04.2024 (5:00 pm) as part of the AERODRONES in Friedrichshafen.

Participation is only possible within the specified participation period. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered in the draw. Only one submitted entry per participant will be entered into the competition.

3. profits

The prizes on offer are as follows:

  • 1st prize: DJI Mini 4 Pro
  • 2nd-5th prize: Remote pilot certificate A2 - online training & exam

4. eligible participants

Natural persons who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Participation is not restricted to customers of the organizer and is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services.

All persons involved in the design and implementation of the competition and employees of the organizer and their family members are not eligible to participate in the competition. In addition, the organizer reserves the right, at its own discretion, to exclude persons from participation if there are justified reasons, for example (a) in the event of manipulation in connection with access to or implementation of the competition, (b) in the event of violations of these conditions of participation, (c) in the event of unfair conduct or (d) in the event of false or misleading information in connection with participation in the competition.

Participation via competition clubs or participation and entry services, automated entries, multiple entries (e.g. with different e-mail addresses) and participation with falsified identities or with identities of third parties are not permitted.

Participants may be required to prove their eligibility to participate in the competition. If the participants do not provide proof of eligibility within the deadline set by the organizer, the organizer reserves the right to exclude the participants from participation.

5 Determination of profits and notification

The winners will be determined after the closing date in a random draw among all participants. If the competition is linked to a task, only those participants who have completed the task correctly will be entered into the prize draw.

The winners of the prize draw will be informed promptly by e-mail. If the contact details are not sent within a period set by the organizer, the claim to the prize shall lapse.

6. transmission of the prize

The prize will be sent to the winner by post after notification of the prize (if possible also by e-mail). An exchange or cash payment of the prize is not possible.

The address cannot be changed after initial notification. In the event of an undeliverable prize, the organizer is not obliged to make any further inquiries. In this case, the claim to the prize is forfeited.

Any costs incurred for sending the prizes will be borne by the organizer. Any additional costs associated with claiming the prize shall be borne by the winner. The winner is responsible for any taxation of the prize. The risk of deterioration and accidental loss shall pass to the winner upon dispatch.

7. termination of the competition

The organizer expressly reserves the right to terminate the competition without prior notice and without giving reasons. This applies in particular to any reasons that would disrupt or prevent the competition from running as planned.

8. no transfer of winnings

If it is not possible to transfer the prize to the winner (e.g. because the entitlement to the prize has lapsed due to the conditions of participation or the winner does not accept the prize), it is at the organizer's discretion what is done with the prize (e.g. whether the prize is awarded to the participants who did not win in accordance with these conditions of participation or whether it is not awarded and is used for another competition, for example).

9. data protection

Data is collected as part of the competition.

The data is collected and processed for the following purposes:

The data collected will be used to carry out the respective competition to fulfill the contract. Data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the competition:

  • Draw
  • Notification of winnings
  • Dispatch of winnings
  • Registration for training and examination

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1b DSGVO.

The following data is collected for the above-mentioned purposes:

  • Company, surname, first name, address, telephone and e-mail

Only the organizer has access to the data. The data does not leave the European Economic Area (EEA). The use of the data is necessary for the provision of the services.

The organizer secures the data according to the state of the art. Among other things, the organizer uses the following security measures to protect your personal data against misuse or any other form of unauthorized processing:

  • access to personal data is restricted to a limited number of authorized persons and to specific purposes;
  • the data is only transmitted in encrypted form, e.g. "https:...";
  • the data is stored in encrypted form;
  • the IT systems used for data processing are technically separated from the other systems in order to prevent unauthorized access, for example through hacking;
  • Access to the systems is continuously monitored in order to detect and report any misuse at an early stage.

The legal basis is Articles 25 and 32 of the GDPR.

The organizer processes and stores the personal data as long as this is necessary for the fulfillment of contractual and legal obligations and the purpose of the processing exists. If the data is no longer required for the fulfillment of contractual or legal obligations or if the purpose of data storage no longer applies, it will be deleted in accordance with regulatory requirements, unless its - temporary - further processing is necessary for the following purposes:

  • Fulfillment of retention obligations under commercial and tax law, which may arise, for example, from the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code. The retention and documentation periods specified there are generally 2-10 years.
  • All personal data stored as part of Academy services is stored for 5 years. This corresponds to the validity of the remote pilot certificate.
  • Preservation of evidence within the framework of the statutory limitation periods. According to §§ 195 ff. of the German Civil Code, these limitation periods can be up to 30 years, whereby the regular limitation period is 3 years.

The participants' data will be deleted one month after the end of the competition.

If a prize is sent by post, the winners' data will be stored in accordance with statutory retention periods.

If the winners receive a voucher for Droniq Academy services, such as an A2 exam, the data will be stored in accordance with the period of use.

If we publish winners by name and/or with a photo, this will only be done with the express consent of the person concerned.

10. disclaimer

The organizer accepts no responsibility for loss of data, in particular data lost during data transmission, technical defects or lost, damaged or delayed entries due to network, hardware or software problems.

11. change/suspension of the competition

The organizer reserves the right to change or discontinue the competition in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

In particular, the organizer is entitled to stop, cancel or suspend the competition if

  • attempted misuse through manipulation is detected,
  • the terms of use of the respective venue, e.g. trade fairs, congresses, Facebook, Instagram, are changed during the implementation, so that implementation is not possible according to the valid regulations of the venue or the competition has been stopped for reasons of any kind, or
  • proper performance is no longer ensured, in particular in the event of hardware or software failure, program errors, computer viruses or unauthorized interventions by third parties as well as mechanical, technical or legal problems.

Any warranty claims of the winners are excluded.

12 Applicable law

Questions or complaints in connection with the competition should be addressed to the organizer. Contact details can be found in our legal notice(www.droniq.de/impressum/).

The organizer's competition is subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal recourse is excluded.

13. consumer arbitration

We hereby inform you that the organizer does not participate in dispute resolution proceedings of a consumer arbitration board and is not obliged to do so.

14. severability clause

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Participation be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Participation. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that comes as close as possible to the economic meaning and purpose of the invalid provision. The same applies in the event of a loophole in these conditions of participation.
