Droniq and DLL start drone leasing

Frankfurt, 11.10.2023 - At the beginning of October, Droniq launched its new leasing offer together with the financing service provider DLL. With this, the specialist for commercial and government drone use opens up new ways for its customers to use industrial drones.

The leasing model relieves drone users of the need to purchase a suitable drone for their use. Instead, they can lease them as needed for a monthly fee. Customers have access to all drone models available from Droniq. The standard lease term is 36 months. If required, it can be adjusted individually.

The leasing offer also includes the sensors that match the drone in question. This includes, for example, thermal imaging and infrared cameras or lidar scanners. It can be used by all commercial customers, with the leasing itself being handled by DLL.
DLL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rabobank and has been active in the market as a leasing company for over 50 years. The company is one of the largest leasing companies in Europe and has great expertise in financing plant and machinery in many different economic sectors, including construction, industry and agriculture.

"With the leasing offer, we make it easier for our customers to enter the drone market," says Droniq CEO Jan-Eric Putze. "We offer the right drone and accessories for every application. Through our other offerings, which include, for example, training, support in applying for an operating license, or even the complete management of the drone operation, we ensure that the customer receives everything from a single source."

In the future, Droniq and DLL plan to further expand the leasing model.

About Droniq GmbH

Droniq GmbH is a joint venture founded in 2019 by DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (51% share) and Deutsche Telekom (49% share). Based in Frankfurt am Main, the company's mission is to promote the professional and safe use of drones by public authorities and organizations with security tasks, as well as by companies.

At the core of Droniq's product offering is a drone traffic management system (UTM). The UTM shows the pilot all surrounding air traffic - manned and unmanned. Furthermore, the other air traffic participants can also see the drone if necessary. With this system, which is unique in Germany, Droniq creates the basis for using drones safely beyond visual range.
Other services offered by Droniq include the sale of drones for commercial and government drone use, as well as hardware and software solutions for safe operation. In addition, the company supports its customers in applying for operating permits and advises on mission planning. With its Droniq Academy, which has offices in Frankfurt and Mönchengladbach, among other cities, the company also offers training and examinations for remote pilots. Droniq's customers include federal and state police units as well as fire departments, rescue forces and companies from the chemical, logistics, construction and security sectors.
