The new episode of mCAST - The Innovation Podcast is all about U-Space, the digital airspace of the future for drones. We discuss how unmanned aerial vehicles can be safely integrated - from a technical, regulatory and economic perspective.
One focus is on the mFUND-funded research project ADAM (Advanced Air Space Mapping). The aim of the project is to map the lower airspace with high-precision 3D maps. These so-called voxel maps create the basis for greater safety, better control and the certifiability of autonomous drone flights.

Droniq is an active partner of the project ADAM(Advanced Air Space Mapping) project and contributes its expertise as an interface between drone operations and digital airspace management.
Our tasks:
Provide 3D voxel maps for operators
Examine requirements for the geo-awareness service in U-Space
Provide access to the UTM traffic management system for demonstration flights
With our contribution, we are providing direct added value to make drone flights safer and certifiable. The project is an opportunity to test U-Space as a digital airspace in practice and to position ourselves in urban air mobility.
