The integration of drones into airspace is one of the key challenges facing modern aviation. As the use of low-altitude airspace increases, so do the demands for transparency, safety, and coordination.

With TraX , Droniq provides one of the most comprehensive views of low-altitude air traffic in Germany. The system makes cooperative air traffic visible in real time—even in areas that are inaccessible to traditional radar systems.
This transparency forms the basis for safe and coordinated drone missions.
Detecting Uncooperative Drones: MyZone Detection
In addition to the visibility of cooperative participants, the detection of uncooperative drones is a critical factor for safety.
Droniq presents a powerful alert and warning system for drone detection that detects intrusions into sensitive or restricted areas at an early stage—regardless of whether drones are actively sharing their location or not.
Data Fusion: From Individual Images to a Situational Overview
Only by combining this information can we make an informed assessment of the situation in the airspace.
By combining cooperative and non-cooperative air traffic data, a robust situational picture is created that allows for the distinction between "friendly" and potentially critical flight movements.
This so-called friend-or-foe situation assessment is particularly important for security-related applications.
Airspace Sovereignty: Presentation at the ILA
A key theme of the exhibition is also featured on the ILA stage.
The increasing use of low-altitude airspace by unmanned aircraft presents Germany with a major challenge: How can safety, government authority, and economic utilization be ensured simultaneously?
The presentation“Airspace Sovereignty: An Integrated Approach to UTM and Drone Detection”demonstrates why airspace sovereignty extends far beyond individual technologies and requires a comprehensive, integrated understanding.
The focus is on the connection between two areas that have often been considered separately until now:
- the management of cooperative drone traffic by UTM systems and
- the identification of non-cooperative flight movements through drone detection.
Only by combining these perspectives can a comprehensive, reliable situational picture be created to serve as the basis for informed decisions.
The presentation by Jan-Eric Putze (CEO, Droniq GmbH) and Khalid Sabeeh (Director of Corporate Development, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH) outlines the requirements for a high-performance digital airspace infrastructure and demonstrates how safety, resilience, and economic development can all be strengthened—thereby addressing one of the key issues for the future of Germany as an aviation hub.
Overview of Hardware and Deployment Technology
In addition to software solutions, Droniq is also showcasing the corresponding hardware at the ILA. This includes, among other things drone detection antennas as well as Drone-in-a-Box systems.
This makes it clear that airspace safety is achieved only through the interaction of data, systems, and operational technology.
Live at the ILA: Remote-controlled drone flights
A special highlight of the trade show appearance will be live demonstrations of drone flights.
Together with its partner Avy, Droniq demonstrates how drone missions can be controlled remotely. These remote flights open up new application scenarios—such as inspections, surveillance, or security-related applications over long distances.
This allows visitors to experience firsthand how digital situational awareness, detection, and operational applications come together to form a single integrated system.
