Project AMI: Positioning & Guidance

At the beginning of February, Airbus invited to a kick-off meeting in the project "AMI-PGS" in Donauwörth. The project is a research project within the framework of the Air Mobility Initiative (AMI), which focuses on the requirements of eVTOLs for new take-off and landing procedures as well as on connections and the flow of information to a UTM system.

The highlight of the day was the traffic tour of the Airbus Helicopter plant in Donauwörth, where the project team had the opportunity to visit the CityAirbus hangar.

DRONIQlive:
How drones and AI are helping farmers to identify species in grassland

From mid-March to the end of May, farmers can earn money quickly and easily. The reason for this is Organic Regulation 5, which has been in force since 2023. Farmers who provide evidence of indicator species on their green spaces receive a subsidy.

What is time-consuming by hand is child's play and fast thanks to the drone and AI: the drone flies over the green space in just a few minutes. The collected data is evaluated for possible indicator species using AI-based software. The farmer receives the result a few hours later and can apply for the subsidy.

In our next webinar on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 7 p.m., we will take a closer look at this process.
