Intended use
The HOD4command enables real-time control of UAS over theoretically unlimited range. This is made possible by a bidirectional Internet connection between the UAS and the associated ground station via LTE. Control data can be sent and telemetry data retrieved via MAVLink, for example, but also any other serial protocol, via RS232/UART.
This enables UAS flights over long distances beyond the pilot's line of sight (BVLOS) and also beyond the usual radio range of conventional remote controls.
In addition, data transmission is encrypted end-to-end, thus ensuring a high level of data security. Due to its low weight, the HOD4command can be attached to almost any aircraft. It includes connectivity in addition to the LTE modem.
The supplied client software provides interfaces for the bidirectional Command & Control data channel.
The use of the hardware is intended for exclusive use within Germany.
Perfect complement:
In combination with the HOD4track, a GNSS LTE transponder, your drone can be integrated into the airspace as a full-fledged participant. The HOD4track transmits the position data of itself and other surrounding air traffic participants via LTE to the UTM.
