Advantages

  • Control the drone in real time for unlimited range.
  • Out-of-visibility (BVLOS) flights become feasible.
  • Transmission and visualization of control data via mobile radio (LTE).
  • Compatible with MAVLink.
  • End-to-end encryption of control and meta data (AES256 standard).

Intended use

The HOD4command enables real-time control of UAS over theoretically unlimited range. This is made possible by a bidirectional Internet connection between the UAS and the associated ground station via LTE. Control data can be sent and telemetry data retrieved via MAVLink, for example, but also any other serial protocol, via RS232/UART.

This enables UAS flights over long distances beyond the pilot's line of sight (BVLOS) and also beyond the usual radio range of conventional remote controls.

In addition, data transmission is encrypted end-to-end, thus ensuring a high level of data security. Due to its low weight, the HOD4command can be attached to almost any aircraft. It includes connectivity in addition to the LTE modem.

The supplied client software provides interfaces for the bidirectional Command & Control data channel.

The use of the hardware is intended for exclusive use within Germany.

Perfect complement:
In combination with the HOD4track, a GNSS LTE transponder, your drone can be integrated into the airspace as a full-fledged participant. The HOD4track transmits the position data of itself and other surrounding air traffic participants via LTE to the UTM.

Perfect complement

In combination with the HOD4track, a GNSS LTE transponder, your drone can be integrated into the airspace as a full-fledged participant. The HOD4track transmits the position data of itself and other surrounding air traffic participants via LTE to the UTM.

The HOD4track is an LTE transponder that makes unmanned aerial objects visible to other airspace participants (helicopters or UAS). The drone tracker meets all requirements for issuing BVLOS operating permits for UAS.

HOD4TRACK

LTE transponder for visualization of unmanned aerial objects. Easily and quickly mountable on almost any drone. Meets requirements for issuing BVLOS operating permits for UAS.

DRONIQlive: What will drive the drone market in 2024?

The end of the year is just around the corner - and with it the last episode of our DRONIQlive webinar in 2023.

Together with you, we will look towards 2024 and talk about what will move the drone market in the coming year: What will change for the use of drones in 2024? Can I still fly my drone without a C classification? What does the LBA say about operating licenses?

In our next episode of DRONIQlive, we talk to Florian Vogt (Bremen State Aviation Authority), Dr. Falk Götten (LBA) and Jörg Schamuhn (UAV Dach) about these topics.
