Drones open up new possibilities in this area: they provide a quick overview of the situation, can be deployed flexibly, and effectively complement existing systems. At the same time, however, there is a growing need to keep a close eye on the airspace itself—especially with regard to unauthorized drones.
This makes it clear that modern perimeter security today must provide both active aerial surveillance and reliable drone detection as an additional layer of security.
